Pearl Jam wants you to know even though they are no longer relevant, they do have opinions

Pearl Jam, who haven't been relevant for at least two decades, wants us to know that they have political opinions. Pearl Jam, of course, is from Seattle, so you can make a fairly easy assumption about which direction those politics sway.

For a concert on Monday in Missoula, Montana, the band held a concert, not for the purpose of, you know, playing music, but for getting fans to vote for Democratic Sen. Jon Tester on Monday.

To celebrate the occasion—and I have no idea why it was an occasion to celebrate—they made some custom artwork. A poster. The poster features President Trump's corpse being gnawed at by a bald eagle, with the White House in flames behind him.

In it, the democratic candidate is victoriously flapping around in the sky on a tractor while, Montana Senate Republican candidate Matt Rosendale is portrayed as a lobster, for some reason.

The poster—which, again, is for a concert, with a a band, paying music—reads:

We're at a tipping point and its time for action. Jon Tester is the real deal and nobody cares more about our country and especially Montana.

Senate Republican candidate said of the poster, "Once again, Jon Tester [his opponent] has shown he will stand with the far-left over Montanans. This poster from Pearl Jam is disgusting and reprehensible. It depicts a dead President Trump and a burning White House. It's time for Jon Tester to denounce this act of violence and blatant display of extremism."

In the 2016 election, Montana voted 56.5% for Trump, and 36% for Clinton. Something tells me, those Trump numbers could be a little higher in 2020, depending on how many visits Pearl Jam makes to Montana.
