Would you be OK getting injected with the virus to speed up vaccine?

In a controversial move, British researchers are going to inject healthy volunteers with the Coronavirus in the hopes of speeding up a vaccine.

It's called a challenge study and is described as "risky", but could produce results faster than giving people a treatment and then waiting to see if they get sick.

The Brits are investing around $43.5 Million into this.

“Deliberately infecting volunteers with a known human pathogen is never undertaken lightly,” said Peter Openshaw, co-investigator on the study. “However, such studies are enormously informative about a disease, even one so well-studied as COVID-19.” You can read more in the LA Times.

So how about you? Would you allow yourself to be injected with the Rona?
