Simon talks to attorney Jeremy Rosenthal about the federal court in Rhode Island that ruled the Trump Administration must use a specific 'emergency fund' to offset the SNAP benefits that millions of Americans rely on. The funding of SNAP benefits ends tomorrow due to DAY 31 of the Government Shutdown. There's a lot of confusion on what court has jurisdiction, what funding pocket this will come from and is it even allocated by Congress towards something already!

Today they issued a press release linking yesterday's interview with Congressman Randy Feenstra, who officially announced his gubernatorial campaign this week. It sure would be a TREAT if the IDP Chairwoman, Rita Hart, would be brave enough, (like Rob Sand) to come on the show. One person who isn't SPOOKED to be on the show is Brad Sherman who is also running for Iowa Governor. Today he talks to Simon about the 70 of 99 counties he's already visited in his bid to become Governor.

Simon starts the hour with good news for Iowa soybean farmers as he talks to Kirk Leeds, CEO of the Iowa Soybean Association about the agreement between Pres Trump and China to purchase 12 million metric tons of U.S. soybeans. This includes the 550-600 million bushels produced by Iowa farmers. Later, Simon talks to Sen. Ted Cruz about the discovery of spying on 9 Republican Senators by Jack Smith. 'Operation: Artic Frost' weaponized the FBI against 9 sitting Senators, all Republicans, by bugging their phones and subpoenaing their phone records in this "mind blowing" discovery.
