Doug here...when I talked with WQAD's Andrew Stutzke about weather this morning he said there is a 30 percent chance of a White Christmas around here. (sad face here) But, some good news is we're expecting some rain in the next couple of days.
The National Weather Service in Davenport says we should get half an inch of rain or more in Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Waterloo and Dubuque. Along and north of US 20, they're under a Winter Weather Advisory from 6pm Thursday through noon on Friday. They may get, depending on which forecast you're watching, 1 to 4 inches of snow.
The latest 4 inch soil temps show 32 degrees roughly along and north of US 20, which means we can still water the trees around here...so I'm happy that the rain is coming!
