Florida Governor Ron DeSantis says the state's new voting law is about integrity and transparency.
His comments came after he signed a sweeping voting bill into law today during a virtual appearance on Fox and Friends.
However, Democratic critics call it an effort to restrict voting access.
It includes limits on drop boxes for hand-delivered ballots and restrictions on third-party voter registration efforts.
Meantime, the new law is already being challenged in court. The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund has filed a lawsuit saying it discriminates against many groups including Black and Latino voters.
