President Biden is noting international sorrow over the millions who have died from COVID. 

Addressing the UN General Assembly, Biden said the world must prepare for the next pandemic. 

He also warned about the growing threat of global climate change and extreme weather events. 

Biden cited threats to democracy around the world, fueled by a "pursuit of naked political power." He called this an "inflection point" for the world.
