MOLINE, Illinois - Moline Police are investigating a deadly pedestrian accident near 15th and River Drive. It happened around 6:10 a.m. Wednesday
KWQC TV6 reports police say a 65 year old man, identified as Richard Trout of Moline, was crossing at a crosswalk on River Drive when he was hit by a westbound pickup. A coroner's report shows he suffered a number of injuries. It is believed that Trout died at the scene.
Police believe that Trout was wearing dark colored clothing and that may have contributed to the accident.
The driver has not been cited and police say drugs or alcohol were not factors. The investigation continues.
