POLK COUNTY, Iowa - It was a close call for a Polk County Sheriff's deputy.
KWQC TV 6 reports that the deputy was nearly hit by a semi. The deputy was in his cruiser and saw a semi on I-80 lose control. The deputy ran from his cruiser right before the semi crashed into it. This happened Wednesday.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office sent out a message on Twitter that stated, "With more winter weather visiting us tomorrow, we would like to remind everyone to travel safely and watch out for emergency vehicles."
