Bettendorf Man Charged With Child Sexual Abuse

BETTENDORF, Iowa - A Bettendorf man could spend up to 25 years in prison. 35 year old Justin Treanton was arrested on Thursday and is charged with 2nd degree sexual abuse of a child.

KWQC TV6 reports that the Scott County Sheriff's Office received a video of an incident that happened on January 21st.

Police report metadata from that video confirmed the date and they were able to use GPS coordinates from where the abuse happened. From that, investigators were able to connect two IP addresses to Treanton.

The child's guardian also reported that caring for the child that day.

Treanton is being held on a $500,000 cash only bond and his preliminary hearing is set for February 7th.
