CLINTON, Iowa - More than 60 new jobs will be created as Nestle Purina expands their factory in Clinton.
KWQC TV6 reports company officials made the announcement Monday and the expansion is a $140 million investment to the facility. This will add processing and packaging lines for dry pet food.
Purina opened the Clinton facility in 1969 and they employ 360 workers. They also operate a factory in Davenport with about 1,000 employees across the state of Iowa.
Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds stated "Opportunity lives here, and we are working every day to make Iowa a beacon of economic prosperity. I want to congratulate Purina for 90 years of continued growth and success here in the Hawkeye state."
The Clinton factory is a hub for innovation and design of new products as well as flagship brands.
