QUAD CITIES, Iowa - Schools are closed in Davenport, Bettendorf, North Scott and Pleasant Valley school Districts.
KWQC TV6 reports the Scott County Health Department Monday agreed with an announcement made by Governor Kim Reynolds that schools should close from Monday, March 16th through Friday, April 10th. The Bettendorf Community School District, Davenport, North Scott and Pleasant Valley then announced they would resume classes on Monday, April 13th.
Governor Reynolds announced Monday that USDA approved Iowa's waiver that will allow schools to continue to serve meals. This allows schools to activate their summer meal programs and provide meals in a non-group setting with a drive-up or grab-and-go setting.
