Illinois COVID-19 Coronavirus Cases Stand At 288

ILLINOIS - The Illinois Department of Public Health reports 128 new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus in the state. The total number of cases now is at 288.

KWQC TV6 reports the new cases are across the state. Kendall and Madison Counties now report cases of COVID-19.

Officials report there is an outbreak in a long-term care facility in DuPage County involving 42 people. Thirty are residents and twelve are staff.

Those with the virus statewide range in age from 9 to 91.

Health officials remind residents to stay home as much as possible and limit gathering numbers to 10. Check on family, neighbors and older adults by phone instead of visiting them. Check with your health provider about telehealth options at this time.
