Mississippi River Distilling Company Making Hand Sanitizer

LECLAIRE, Iowa - A Mississippi River Distilling Company in LeClaire is temporarily switching from alcohol production to making hand sanitizer.

KWQC TV6 reports that owner Ryan Burchett says that wasn't possible until the federal government made a few changes that now allow distilleries to use alcohol to make hand sanitizer.

Burchett says they are going into bulk production of 250 or more gallons at a time. Bulk orders for institutional needs will go out first and then they will look at ways to package smaller bottles.

Businesses and institutions in need of bulk sanitizer should give the distillery a call.
