ROCK ISLAND, Illinois - Changes are being made at the Rock Island Arsenal due to COVID-19 coronavirus.
KWQC TV6 reports they will suspend all current yearlong passes starting Wednesday, March 25th.
This will not impact those with a CAC Card, Military ID Card, AIE Visitor Pass for official business, Retiree Military ID Card or Family Member ID Card.
Those with official business at the Arsenal will be allowed and that includes contractors, those with meetings, organizations and tenants.
Thirty day passes for new contractors and others with official business will be issued at certain access points. The Visitor Control Center will remain open Monday through Friday but Saturday and Sunday will close.
The Arsenal will remain open to family members visiting the Rock Island National Cemetery, to those with ID's for the Commissary and Post Exchange, to use the health clinic and visitors to residential quarters.
The first two hours of the Commissary and Post Exchange are reserved for older customers. The Health Clinic will remain open and visitors must use the main entrance.
