Two dead, 12-injured after gunfire outside Waterloo, Iowa after-hours club

(Waterloo, IA) -- Waterloo Police say two people are dead and at least 12-people are injured after a weekend shooting at an after-hours club. Police were called to 501 W. 4th Street, near downtown Waterloo Iowa around 3 a.m. Saturday.

Police say a 22-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman have died as a result of the shooting. Two victims are at the University of Iowa Hospital and a Clinic in Iowa City, and other victims have a wide range of injuries including gunshot wounds, as well as injuries from glass, and injures caused by falling or being trampled.

Police have served several court orders, and have arrested 25-year-old Sir Frank Nelson III of Waterloo. Police say he was arrested on unrelated warrants, and is a felon found in illegal possession of a firearm.
