(Iowa) -- The Iowa Department of Natural Resources will start its spring trout stocking next week.
Starting March 23rd, between 1,000 and 2,000 trout will be released in 13 lakes across the state. The DNR's spring trout stocking will continue through April 22nd. Iowans over age 16 must pay the state's trout fee to fish for trout. Iowans 16 and under are allowed to possess trout if they're fishing with a licensed adult.
The full spring trout stocking is available on the Iowa Department of Natural Resources website.
