A man on the run from police in Moline didn't make it far when he flagged down a driver for a ride.
39 year old Joshua Ross had three felony warrants out for his arrest. Ross first was on a bike and then ditched it and took off running.
Ross then tried to flag down a car hoping for a ride. The driver did stop. It was Moline Police Captain Brian Johnson in an unmarked car on his way to hunt for Ross.
Ross' ride was a success and he was taken directly to jail.
