Bettendorf Police are investigating a deadly accident on I-80 near the Middle Road Interchange.
Around 12:30 p.m. Monday, police say a driver lost control of the vehicle and went into the median. The vehicle then hit a cable barrier and rolled. It came to rest against a guardrail near the eastbound lanes.
The driver was thrown from the vehicle, taken to a hospital and later died.
Bettendorf Police, the Bettendorf Fire Department, the Iowa State Patrol, Iowa DOT and the Iowa Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement Division are assisting in the investigation.
