Bettendorf Police were called to the I-74 Bridge construction area Sunday after they received a call of a naked man on a barge.
Police say 43 year old Tobias Hartsfield took a boat from the marina to the barge in the construction area. There, he untied ropes on the barge causing it to shift. Hartsfield then got back into the stolen boat where he was taken into custody.
A tow boat was called to put the barge back into position.
Bond for Hartsfield is set at $25,000. He is charged with 1st-degree Criminal Mischief, 2nd-degree Criminal Mischief, and 1st-degree Theft, all felonies. He's also charged with a misdemeanor of Trespassing.
