A woman is accused of stealing money from a charity fundraiser.
A LeClaire family held the fundraiser last March to raise money to help with medical expenses for their daughter. Police say that 59 year old Barbara Ritter was in charge of the vendor fair portion of the fundraiser. The family says that Ritter didn't give them any of the donations from that portion of the event.
Police located the missing $972. Police report that Ritter put the money into her personal bank account and admitted to using it for personal reasons.
Ritter was arrested and charged with 3rd degree theft.
