Davenport Community Schools spent more money than the law allowed. The state of Iowa is forcing the school board to pay it back. Cuts have to be made.
The yellow school bus is not immune. Some bus routes are on the line. The savings would be about $200,000. The money has to come from somewhere.
It's going to be a cold walk in January.
