MUSCATINE, Iowa - An arrest has been made in a deadly hit-and-run in August.
KWQC TV6 reports that 52 year old Terry Gough of Morning Sun, Iowa was arrested on Wednesday. Police apparently have been investigating Gough since the accident that killed Devin Estabrook. Gough is charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
49 year old Estabrook was riding his bike on Highway 51 near 41st Street South in Muscatine just before 5 a.m. when he was hit.
A criminal complaint states that Gough was driving a commercial motor vehicle at the time of the accident. Gough did not stop and assist at the scene as required by law. He apparently drove past the scene later when emergency vehicles were there investigating.
If convicted, Gough faces up to five years in prison and up to a $7,500 fine.
Gough's next court date is October 25th.
