DAVENPORT, Iowa - The financial website WalletHub reports that Davenport ranks in the bottom of the list of fastest growing cities in America in 2019.
KWQC TV6 reports that Davenport is listed at 512th overall out of 515 cities. WalletHub used 17 metrics over a seven year period to come up with their findings. Those metrics include population growth, unemployment rate decrease, job growth and growth of college educated population.
Those that ranked lower than Davenport include Erie, Pennsylvania, Canton, Ohio and Shreveport, Louisiana.
The fastest growing U.S. cities include Lehigh Acres, Florida, Mount Pleasant, South Carolina and Bend, Oregon.
WalletHub ranks Davenport as a mid-sized city with a population between 100,000 and 300,000.
