BURLINGTON, Iowa - A dog-napper took a $3,000 husky from a yard in Burlington Friday morning. KWQC TV6 reports that someone drove up to Melissa Hootman-Paige's home and took the dog from her yard around 10:30 a.m. The theft was captured on a number of security cameras at Hootman-Paige's home. The suspect is a female.
About 30 minutes later, a business 6 blocks away found a stray husky. The dog was the one taken from the yard. Hootman-Paige now has her dog back.
The Des Moines County Humane Society posted photos of the suspects on their Facebook page.
