A man was killed and two children suffered serious injuries in a head-on crash Monday night in Davenport.
Davenport Police say it happened just before midnight just west of River Drive and Forest Road. Investigators have determined a Saturn was traveling eastbound on River Drive and crossed the center line into oncoming traffic, according to the news release.
Police say a GMC pickup that was westbound on River Drive struck the Saturn head-on. A man who was a passenger in the Saturn was pronounced dead at the scene. Two children inside the vehicle suffered serious and potentially life-threatening injuries, according to the news release from police.
The driver of the Saturn suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The pickup driver was not hurt. Police have not yet released the names of those involved in the crash.
