A Sterling man is behind bars after being arrested for the aggravated battery of a nine year old girl.
The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to a home on Tampico Road in rural Sterling for a physical domestic battery.
The Sheriff's Office says after further investigation, 36 year old Antwaun Harris was arrested for two counts of domestic battery, aggravated battery to a child and two counts of endangering the life or health of a minor.
Deputies say Harris was transported to the Whiteside County Jail where he was processed and held in lieu of bond.
