Davenport Police are identifying a man found dead in the road over the weekend.
Investigators say 49 year old Jeffrey Fainter, of Davenport, was found dead just after 2:00 Saturday morning. Police, firefighters and medics were called to the 1900 block of West 48th Street for a man unresponsive in the road. First responders took Fainter to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation is underway by the Davenport Police Traffic Safety Unit.
