The Galesburg Police Department says multiple people were injured in a Friday morning shooting.
In a Facebook post on the department’s page, investigators say the shooting happened around 2:30 Friday morning in the 1000 block of Monroe Street. That is just a few blocks away from the Churchill Junior High School.
Police say “multiple victims” were taken to a hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds, but there is no word yet on just how many victims there are. The Facebook post says the investigation is ongoing.
