(Davenport, IA) -- Authorities are identifying the teen killed in an eastern Iowa shooting earlier this week.

Police say 16-year-old De'Zia L. Bailey was shot and killed Monday night around 9:52 p.m. inside a home in the 1800 block of Grand Avenue.

Officers were called to the residence for reports of shots fired and discovered Bailey with a gunshot wound upon arrival before transporting her to a local hospital where she died.

WQAD News 8 reports Bailey was a student at Mid-City High School and district officials have activated its crisis response team.

Investigators haven't released details about potential suspects, but say they don't believe this was a random act of violence.
