(Rock Island, IL) -- Residents in Rock Island may notice a stronger chlorine smell in their tap water over the coming days.
It's part of preparations for the city's annual hydrant flushing program.
Crews will begin flushing fire hydrants throughout Rock Island on September 15th and continuing through the end of October.
