(Moline, IL) -- It may soon be safer for students walking to school in Moline.

The city is working with the Moline-Coal Valley School district to install safety devices around seven schools.

More flashing red stop signs, beacons, and radar speed signs are planned for Butterworth, Franklin, Lincoln-Irving, Logan, and Washington Elementary, as well as Seton Catholic and John Deere Middle school.

Installation is scheduled for next summer.
