(Savanna, IL) -- Residents in Savanna are still processing the news that Elkay Plumbing will close its doors at the end of December.
The company says its transferring the plants 178 jobs to Lanark in Carroll County, and Freeport in Stephenson County.
A Zurn Elkay spokesman says the need for costly roof repairs and space limitations led to the decision.
