(Moline, IL) -- A trip to Washington D.C. honoring veterans scheduled for the end of the month will go on despite the government shutdown.

Organizers of the 64th Quad Cities Honor Flight say most of the memorials they plan to visit will be open on October 28th even if the federal government shutdown lasts that long.

They add that if something is closed they can find other things for the veterans to see.
