Davenport Man Convicted Of Killing Woman After Luring Her To His Home

(Davenport, IA) -- A man from Davenport Could spend up to 50 years in prison for the murder of a homeless woman.

On Friday, a Scott County jury convicted 35 year-old Dillon Ray Adams of killing 33 year-old Maddy Bakoylis in August of last year.

Prosecutors say Adams reached out to Bakoylis on social media offering her a place to stay.

The jury heard evidence that Adams then fatally assaulted Baykolis in his mother's home on Elwood Avenue.

Adams faces a life sentence when he's sentenced sometime next year.
