(Davenport, IA) -- An apartment fire Monday morning in Davenport leaves several people displaced.
Firefighters from the Davenport Fire Department responded to reports of the fire a little before 8:30 Monday morning in the 1800 block of Dixwell Street. At the scene, they found a fire on the apartment building's first floor extending up to the second floor. Firefighters confirmed all residents were able to get out safely. Two of the building's eight units are considered a total loss, and 18 total residents were affected by the fire.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
