(Iowa) -- The USDA says Iowa farmers had a record year in corn and soybean production.

Data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's 2025 Crop Production Summary shows Iowa farmers harvested 2.77 billion bushels of corn, and 596 million bushels of soybeans this year.

The corn crop was the second-highest yield ever, and the soybean crop Iowa's third largest.

Iowa Agriculture Secretary Mike Naig says the harvest was impressive despite the adverse weather conditions and crop disease in some parts of the state over the growing season.
