Rock Island Signs Deal To Remove Arsenal Snow

(Rock Island, IL) -- The Rock Island Arsenal is partnering with one of the Quad Cities to receive public works services.

Rock Island is expanding an existing agreement to provide snow removal services on the Arsenal at a cost of 3.5-million dollars per year for the next ten years.

The city will spend $1.5-million on new equipment for the contract along with hiring nine employees that will be available for work in the city as well.

Rock Island already handles garbage pickup on the Arsenal.
