(Iowa) -- A local blood donation center says the recent bus crash in Calhoun County, which left one person dead and injured more than 30 others, has put a strain on the blood supply. LifeServe, which supplies blood to hospitals in Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota, sent multiple units to treat the victims of Wednesday’s crash.
The organization says emergencies like this put added pressure on already-low inventory levels, and they are now asking for blood donations to help replenish what was used.
