(Rock Island, IL) -- Another Quad Cities school is expanding.
The Rock Island-Milan School District plans to spend just under $6.4-million dollars to add just over 9-thousand square feet to Eugene Field Elementary.
The expansion will include five classrooms, a music room, and new restrooms.
The existing building will also get new PA and fire systems, and the library will be moved from the basement to ground level.
The project will start later this month and be completed next winter.
