Des Moines, IA) -- Iowa's economic performance ranks in the top half of all states, according to a new national study.
However, the Free Enterprise Report notes the state did poorly in several categories.
Ben Murrey of Common Sense Institute of Iowa says the state ranked lower for health care, taxes and fees and infrastrucutre.
However, the report also shows the state did well for energy costs, public safety and housing.
"Iowa is a great state to raise a family, it's safe, it's affordable," said Murrey.
