Davenport Adding Turn Lanes To One Of City's Busiest Intersections

(Davenport, IA) -- Major work started yesterday at one of the Quad Cities busiest intersections.

Crews began the process of adding additional left turn lanes at 53rd and Utica Ridge in Davenport.

Studies have determined the existing single lane can't handle current traffic loads, with crashes being reported often.

Eastbound 53rd and northbound Utica Ridge will have dual left turn lanes when the work is completed later this year.
