(Palo, IA) -- A Nuclear Regulatory Commission panel overseeing the decision to restart Iowa's only nuclear plant met the public Tuesday.
The meeting was to share the licensing process for the restart of the Duane Arnold Nuclear facility in Palo.
The NRC says it typically takes around 18 months for approval.
Energy from the facility would power Google's new billion-dollar-plus data center planned for nearly 545-acres near Palo.
