(Rock Island, IL) -- The Rock Island-Milan School District is looking to expand its weapons detection system at Rock Island High School.
The move comes after police say the technology detected a loaded gun in the backpack of a 16 year-old student Monday.
The District says they plan to place another detector at the Aquatic Center entrance to Rocky, and at Thurgood Marshall Learning Center.
The additional systems are expected to cost around $150,000.
