Iowa HHS: Iowa Respiratory Virus Activity Largely Down for Week Ending 4/18

(Iowa) -- Respiratory virus activity is largely down in Iowa, according to the latest data from the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services.

Iowa HHS shows rates of both influenza and RSV are down for the week ending April 18th compared to the previous week. Influenza activity fell by 1.8% during that time period, while RSV rates fell by 1%. COVID-19 activity remained largely unchanged throughout the state, showing a 0.1% uptick.

The latest data show no schools in Iowa reporting at least a 10 percent illness rate. The full report is available at the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services website.
