(Rock Island, IL) -- A Rock Island alderman is being accused of conflict of interest.
Bridges Catering, owned by the family of, and operated by, alderman Bill Healy, withdrew a bid to provide food service to a city run pre-school program just hours before Monday's City Council vote.
City staff recommended the bid, but Healy pulled it after critics questioned whether his connection to the company would violate Illinois municipal ethics laws.
