(Des Moines, IA) -- The Animal Rescue League of Iowa (ARL) is preparing to receive a significant number of beagles from Ridglan Farms in Wisconsin.

This is part of a major rescue effort involving 1,500 dogs. The dogs were previously kept for research and are now being rescued through a collaborative national effort.

The ARL is asking for donations and for foster homes to help care for the incoming dogs.
