(Davenport, IA) -- A historic Davenport home is for sale.
Jazz legend Bix Beiderbecke was born in, and grew up at 1934 Grand Avenue, north of Locust Street just east of Brady.
The home was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1966.
The designation offers opportunities for preservation grants, but also limits what changes can be made to the property.
The 3,200 square foot home is listed for just under $220,000.
