Doug spoke with Katie Hopkins about her Saturday, February 15 fundraiser for her “Go Red For Women” campaign. At 36 years old, Katie had a heart attack, and now she’s working to raise awareness and funds for the American Heart Association. “Laugh Your Heart Out,” a fundraiser event benefiting Go Red for Women, an American Heart Association nonprofit. Scheduled for Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the American Legion in Fairfax, Iowa, this unique event combines entertainment and philanthropy to support a life-saving cause. “Laugh Your Heart Out” will feature keynote speaker Doug Thompson, a Cedar Rapids resident, national comedian, and heart health advocate. As a triple bypass and heart attack survivor, Mr. Thompson brings humor and authenticity to his message of resilience and heart health awareness.
