Illinois Lottery

Illinois will suspend Powerball sales at 9 pm today because of the state's lack of a budget. All active Powerball subscriptions will be cancelled after the June 28 draw, with refunds issued to players for the remaining length of their subscriptions.

Illinois Lottery officials announced winners of any lottery game prize worth more than $25,000 will experience a delay in getting paid.

The state will take your money if you buy a ticket, but if you win they won't pay out. Only in Illinois.
