Davenport Man Facing List Of Charges That Started With Speeding

DAVENPORT, Iowa - A Davenport man is accused of causing an accident that seriously injured a passenger Sunday morning on North Division Street.

35 year old Paul Parrow Jr. is accused of going 90 in a 35 MPH zone. Police say that Parrow crossed the center line and nearly hit an officer head-on. Police say he swerved to avoid that accident but lost control of his vehicle that rolled and stopped in a yard.

A passenger inside that vehicle suffered a broken leg and internal bleeding.

Police also say there was an open bottle of alcohol inside the vehicle. Parrow refused a sobriety test.

Records show that Parrow has a previous conviction of driving under the influence in Rock Island County. Records also show that Parrow was behind the wheel with a suspended license in Iowa for unpaid fines.

Parrow was booked on driving under suspension, failure to maintain control of a vehicle, open container, OWI 2nd offense, reckless driving and a felony charge of serious injury by vehicle.
